The September 20-22 annual People's Choice Awards, presented
by the Southwestern Oregon Chapter of the American Institute
of Architects took place again this year during Eugene Celebration.
Visitors viewed a display at 35 W. 8th Avenue, presentations
included 29 building and landscape projects.
Hundreds of ballots were cast in eight categories, resulting
in eight
awards. Award winners of the 2002 People's Choice Awards are
listed below. Images for some winning projects were
not available at time of publication.
Awards were presented at September's chapter meeting.
The Southwestern Oregon Chapter of AIA, with a membership
of 185, includes architects in Eugene, Springfield, Coos Bay,
Corvallis, Roseburg, and Bend. Its purpose is to promote the
profession of architecture and to provide architectural services
for the community.
