Work is underway for a New Residence Hall at the University of Oregon (UO) campus in Eugene, Oregon! The residence hall site will be bounded by the Global Scholars Hall and East 17th Avenue on the north and south and Columbia and Moss streets on the west and east.

Mahlum Architects designed this exceptional student housing project, which is seeking LEED Gold Certification and features solar access to accommodate the adjacent Many Nations Longhouse directly to the north of the site.  UO worked closely with representatives of the tribal community and nationally known architect and UO alumnus Johnpaul Jones, who designed the Many Nations Longhouse, in ensuring the site is compatible with cultural traditions and tribal ceremonies.

The new, as-yet-unnamed, hall is expected to open in fall 2017.  Join the Cascadia Green Building Council, Eugene Collaborative for this FREE tour on Wednesday, November 9th at 1:30 PM, led by Beth Brett and Brad Iest of Mahlum Architects.

Please RSVP.  Tour space is limited.
