2012 PCA AWARD WINNERS

Building a great community requires great architecture. Who better to identify that great architecture than the community to whom it’s been given? Such has been the reasoning behind the People’s Choice Awards, sponsored by the Southwestern Oregon chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), in collaboration with the Willamette Valley section of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

Each year at the Eugene Celebration, local AIA and ASLA members present their best work for
consideration. Anyone can vote, in each of seven categories:
• Residential Design
• Commercial Design
• Public/Institutional Design
• Landscape Architecture
• Multi-Family Housing Design
• Interior Design
• Unbuilt Projects

Winners will be introduced and many will be available to talk about their work during the First Friday Gallery Walk on Oct. 5, 2012. This celebration coincides with AIA-SWO’s 60th anniversary, so the public is invited for cake and a few brief remarks from Mayor Piercy at 7:00 at The Octagon, AIA-SWO’s new office and public display space at 92 E. Broadway.
